If you’re stuck in a timeshare you no longer want, you’re not alone. At US Timeshare Exit, our mission is to help owners like you successfully terminate their timeshare contracts. But before you spend money on professional help—ours or anyone else’s—we believe in empowering you with the knowledge to try it yourself first.

Step 1: Call Your Timeshare Company Directly

Many timeshare owners don’t realize that some resorts offer exit options—but they won’t advertise them. The key is knowing who to talk to and what to say.

Find the Right Department

Don’t waste time speaking with the sales team; they’re trained to keep you locked in. Instead, ask for the department that handles ownership cancellations. This is often called Owner Services, but the name varies by company.

Be Clear and Direct

Tell them:

  • You want to terminate your timeshare ownership.
  • You need to know all the available exit options.
  • You’re no longer able (or willing) to continue ownership, whether due to medical issues, financial concerns, or other personal reasons.

Take Notes on Everything

Write down:

  • Who you spoke with
  • The date and time
  • What they told you

Your Next Steps

Why struggle when you don’t have to?

Try it yourself first—but if you hit a wall, we’re here to get you out.
